Noosa International Food & Wine Festival

Petuna was excited to accompany long-time friend Tetsuya Wakuda to Noosa International Food & Wine Festival, 2013.

Over 30,000 people attended the event, which broke all previous records, over the course of 4 days.  Tetsuya was a star and a standout at the event kicking off on the Thursday evening with the Edible Opera event, at which he prepared his symphony of ingredients to delight attendees with his Toro of Petuna Ocean Trout Bon Bon. Tetsuya also showcased Petuna Ocean Trout at his special Masterclass, where he made a simple and delicious Ocean Tout dish.

The weekend was wrapped up with a very exclusive by invite only, private party hosted by Tetsuya Wakuda at the luxurious No. 6, Penthouse apartment at the Hastings on the Park, Noosa.

The party allowed Tetsuya to invite top chef friends along in a celebration of good food and wine, including the sweet Adriano Zumbo, the exciting Dan Hong from Mr Wong’s and Jonathan Barthelmess from The Apollo just to name a few.  Good friend of Tetsuya, Yoshihiro Narisawa from Narisawa Tokyo who recently won the ‘world’s best Sustainability restaurant award of 2013’ also came along to celebrate the successful weekend. Tetsuya delighted guests by sourcing fresh and quality produce which he then simply cooked to entice guests.
